8:30-9:15 -Working with your legislator – Getting to know them before we need them: by the Ohio Farm Bureau with information from the Ohio Travel Association [waiting on presenter’s name]

 

9:15-10:15 - SBA’s Office of Business Advocacy – Round table discussions on the concerns of small businesses regarding the Federal regulatory processes – supplemental discussion of Ohio regulatory processes -- Andrew Cofield, SBA Office of Advocacy representing Region 5: Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio, and Wisconsin

 

10:15- 10:45 - Broadening the base of our consumer pyramid -- We need to reach out to new customers – Industry discussion of 2026 OWPA goals to bring new faces/affinity groups to our tasting rooms

 

10:45- 11:30 - Significant opportunities for wineries to obtain unique and substantial R and D Federal research dollars via the “Big, beautiful” bill passed last fall -- Jonathon Roth, Vice President, Tax Prep Advocates, Salt Lake City and Washington DC.—he will also then be set up at the OWPA table during the balance of the conference for personal consults and discussions.

 

12:00 or so – an invitation is out to the offices of Dr. Acton and Mr. Ramaswamy to attend personally or send representatives to present their perspectives on how their offices will impact our wine community and Ohio generally – waiting on a confirmation – please plan to register for the $38 lunch via the OGIC Wine Conference form
