Future Wineries Membership

As a winery planning to open in the not too distant future, our office invites you to take advantage of the services of the OWPA to help support a smooth transition from original concept to opening your doors.  

While we are not attorneys, OWPA has worked with dozens of wineries in various stages of development, assisting with advice, recommendations for professional assistance, general marketing suggestions and practical hints to avoid some pitfalls others have experienced.  

This level of membership also entitles you to receive regular industry mailings and updates, so that when your doors do open, you can take full advantage of the services offered. 

A web listing also affords future customers access to your general information long before your tasting room is ready for guests.

Grower Membership $50

As a winegrower who supplies fruit to our member wineries, we invite you to support the organization that helps build the market for your grapes and other fruits. We will also spread the word about the kinds of fruit you grow -- and make that information available to those interested in buying your products. 

In addition, when issues relating to agriculture, grapes and wine come up in Columbus, in Washington DC or even on the local level, we are there to represent your needs and protect your interests.

Supplier Membership

The purpose of the Supplier Membership program is to establish a network between and among wine industry vendors, our winery members and the Ohio Wine Producers Association. 

From Advocacy and Communications to Networking and Professional Development and Industry Liaisons, OWPA encourages all members, wineries and affiliates alike to focus on what they do best and then to provide opportunities which mutually benefit all involved.  

We invite you to join our organization. Enclosed with this letter is a history of the work of the association as well as an outline of the various levels of membership and samples of both the 'Tuesday Tidbits' and 'Industry Alert' emails. 

The costs quoted below are based on a 12 month membership.

Friend - $100

• A link to your website will be featured on the OWPA Associate Member page

• An opportunity to offer discounts to our grower and winery members as well as to the consuming public via our e letters as appropriate

• A subscription to the Tuesday Tidbits marketing suggestions [5000 each week to subscribers across the country] and attached to Ohio industry alert e letters sent out as issues arise.

Supporter - $300

• All the same benefits as a Friend Member plus:

• A one-time per year e-mail mailing to all of our grower and winery members with an introduction from OWPA and to include on page information sheet in JPEG format supplied by you

• A second e-mail mailing [total 2] with introduction from OWPA to include material supplied by you

• A 2.25” x 2.25” ad listing and logo in JPEG format with no more than 25 word description included in our Tuesday Tidbits e letters – generally weekly, but at least 45 times a year.

• Pre printed flyers supplied by you at all at all regional meeting [held each fall at locations around the state] and membership meetings [each February in Columbus]

Benefactor - $500

• All the same benefits as a Supporter Member and:

• One additional [total 3] mailings

• An ability to exhibit at the corporate rate [in person or via literature you provide] at one or all of the consumer festivals [Vintage Ohio near Cleveland in August, Put in Bay, one of the Lale Erie Islands in June, October in SW Ohio near Cincinnati and others as they are created]

• 2.25” x 2.25” ad listing and logo in JPEG format with no more than 25 word description included in our direct to industry Alert emails sent to all members of the association, attendees to all regional and statewide meetings and at least one annually to over 5,000 industry representatives from across the country who subscribe to our weekly marketing e letter.
