Anita Davis

Anita Davis of the Breitenbach Winery in Dover was inducted into the Ohio Wine Hall of Fame at the industry's annual gathering in Dublin, Ohio, on Monday, February 16.

Davis joins a distinguished group of thirty-eight visionaries and leaders who shaped the modern industry. Her family winery was one of the early regional pioneers in the state's Amish Country. She is the second member of the Bixler family to be so honored, as her father, Duke Bixler, was inducted in 2011.

She has been a long-time member of the Ohio Wine Producers Association Board of Directors and was one of the state's first female winemakers. She is an active member of WineAmerica, the national wine trade organization. Her charity work includes a 20-year commitment to a not-for-profit charity dedicated to the memory of her son. The entire industry is honored to welcome Anita into the Ohio Wine Hall of Fame.
