The evening will feature eight of the best wines grown in the Grand River Valley and the Conneaut Creek district paired with five elegant courses. The evening will begin with a Sparkling Pinot Noir Rosé from Laurello Vineyards, complemented by a display of Adams Reserve Extra Sharp Cheddar as guests are treated to an amazing drone demonstration presented by the SPIRE staff.
Wines will be presented by Lauren Fiala, WSET4dip, wine specialist at the Lodge at Geneva.
The first course will feature Charred Red Pepper Soup made with Roasted Red peppers, Sweet Vidalia Onions, Carrots, Leeks, and Russet Potatoes paired with Grand River Cellars 2019 Grand River Valley Cabernet Franc Rosé and Silver Crest Cellars 2017 Grand River Valley Schubert-Ferney Vineyard Cabernet Franc.
The second course will include a Mini Crab Cake Martini with Blue Point Lump Crab Meat, Pan-Fried in Clarified Butter, Remoulade Sauce and Shredded Slaw in a Mini Martini Glass. It will be paired with Markko Vineyard 2016 Lake Erie Homage Grand Cru [oaked Chardonnay] and Debonné Vineyards 2019 Grand River Valley Unoaked Chardonnay.
The third course will be Chicken Piccata, a sauteed Boneless Breast of Chicken in a Light Lemon Caper Sauce and Pan Seared Atlantic Salmon Filet with a Dill Cream Sauce plus Potatoes Anna and Roasted Broccoli with Pine Nuts, Basil and Shaved Parmesan served with Buccia Vineyards 2017 North Coast Cellars Riesling and South River Vineyards 2018 Grand River Valley Malbec.
Dessert will include Assorted Mini-Crafted Petite Pastry Platter with Chocolate Fudge Brownies, Cannolis, Red Velvet Cake Muffins, Chocolate Truffles, Lemoncello Cookies, Mini Cheesecake, and Chocolate Covered Strawberries served with Ferrante Winery 2017 Vidal Blanc Ice Wine.
The Drone reception will begin at 6 pm. Dinner will start at 7 p.m.
Reservations will be limited to 150 guests. To comply with Covid restrictions, tables will be arranged with seating for 6 or 8 guests. Guests who want to form their own seating groups MUST CALL 440-466-4417 to arrange to sit together. Others will be assigned randomly to a 6 or 8-top table. All guests must wear masks when not seated.
